WHARNCLIFFE WEEKENDER: 4/5 of August 2007, charity mtb event.

Steve, Trevor, Ward and Clarkie rode this event in aid of Weston Park Hospital Cancer Appeal. Bands, Beers and BBQ's. . .oh!!! don't forget the bikes, what more could you ask fore. We also got to hang out with Sheffields own Steve Peat, 2006 UCI World Cup Downhill Champion. The only downer was that you couldn't ride the trails with Steve Peat because he had a broken ankle.

SOUTHPORT TO SHEFFIELD: 27/29 of July 2007, charity mtb ride.

On the 27th of July, 2007 Steve, Trevor, Danny, Ward, Clarkie and Deano were dropped off in Southport by mini bus. We stayed the night in a B&B and started back to Sheffield early the Saturday morning. On the first day we rode 70 plus miles then stayed the night in a second B&B in the town of Altrincham, just before the pennines. The Sunday we crossed the pennines, passing over Windle Edge, the highest point on the Trans Pennines Trail which is around 400 meters (1312 feet) above sea level.

It was a good ride and the weather was perfect the whole weekend. It was a lot harder than we expected though but we all still enjoyed it. We rode a total of 144 miles and raised over £700 pounds for Weston Park Hospital Cancer Appeal. . .job done.

Another great ride lovely weather had a good laugh with every body, nice to see lots on new faces and family's.
Urbanextremistuk would like to congratulate everybody who took part, some of who had never been that far before.
