WHERE URBAN MEETS THE EXTREME

This event happend on the 14th of september.

It was a gray over cast day but spirits and expectations were high for the first annual Urban X Rampage. The finalists in the open category were Deane Barrett, Graham Booth, Michael Clarke, Trevor Francis, Steve Johnson and Ward Washington.

The course was slippery, ask Michael Clarke who was pushing hard in seeding, going down quickest until he took a spill on one of the corners. Leaving the door open for odds on favourite Steve Johnson to set a blistering time of 1:58.34 to end up in the hot seat, the fastest time of the day. Michael ended up being 5th in seeding with Ward taking second, Trevor in 3rd, Deane 4th and Graham bringing up the rear.

With everyone pumped the race was full on. The biggest surprise was Graham Booth who shaved off a whopping 14 seconds off his seeding run time to bring home the bronze. Steve couldn't match his own pace set in seeding but came down in a respectable 2:02.00 to take the silver. Ward Washington pipped him at the post with a time of 2:01.79 to bring home the gold. Trevor Francis had a disappointing run bringing up the rear, finishing with a flat front tire. Michael Clarke took 4th with Deane Barrett in 5th.


Under 16's

Four riders turned up for this one with there race faces on, Darry Dowling, Thomas England, Thomas Hinchcliffe and Luke Wilding. Darry Dowling, the littlest one of the group found it tough going in seeding, sliding his way down in 4th with a time of 3:17.59. Thomas England set the time to beat with 2:32.84 with a flat rear tire. Thomas Hinchcliffe came in second with Luke Wilding in 3rd

The race was identical to seeding. Thomas England with a fresh tube set a winning time of 2:17.53, a whooping 13 seconds faster than second place Thomas Hinchcliffe, Luke Wilding was 3rd and Darry Dowling in 4th
